According to the Bristol Evening Post, on 6 July 2010, football hooligan Kevin Jenkins admitted groping a 14 year old girl, and was convicted by Bristol Magistrates. Kevin Jenkins’ Facebook is full of stuff about supporting the EDL and “If you live in England… speak English”, “Ban burkas in the UK”, “No place In Wrexham for Islam”, “Fly the St George flag proudly on 23rd April” etc. Of course any group founded by BNP activists, convicted criminals and football hooligans IS responsible for the consequences of staging demos that inevitably attract BNP activists, convicted criminals and football hooligans etc; but, even then, it would be unfair to blame the EDL for the actions of THIS jerk. Having said that, this case does put EDL chants about how “Allah is a Pedo” in perspective, because ALL abuse is disgusting, but (with no disrespect to ordinary, decent Christians) it’s not like EDL activists EVER protest about the thousands of cases of child abuse that take place in both Protestant and Catholic churches. www.thisisbristol.co.uk In view of what the EDL are planning for Bradford, interestingly Jenkins’ favourite group is The Warriors, an Oi band formed from the ashes of right-wing skinhead group The Last Resort, who were booked by music promoter and Combat 18 co-founder Garry Hitchcock to play at The Hamborough Tavern in Southall in 1981 – Last Resort fans smashed shop windows, sprayed NF slogans and attacked local Asians, causing the 2nd Southall riot.
